THIS PLAQUE APPEARS TO REFER TO HILL AS A WORLD WAR I HERO, BUT THE TEXT CLEARLY INDICATES THAT HIS HEROIC ACTIONS ARE FROM WORLD WAR II. THE SECOND “I” IS MISSING FROM THE PLAQUE AND THE HOLES THAT SECURED IT CAN STILL BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOGRAPH.
