General Patton, a second generation VMI cadet with three cavalry tours at Ft. Myer, is among the greatest military commanders in U.S. history. He led allied ground troops in Africa, achieved victory in Sicily in just 38 days, and showed superb military skills in France and Germany, speeding the end of World War II.
