MAJOR GENERAL JOHN PATERSON WAS IN MOST OF THE DECISIVE BATTLE OF THE REVOLUTION AND SERVED DURING THE WHOLE WAR. HE WAS ONE OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE SOCIETY OF THE CINCINNATI.
MAJOR AZARIAH EGLESTON SERVED IN THE BATTLE OF THE CEDARS. CROSSED THE DELAWARE WITH WASHINGTON DEC. 25, 1776 AND WAS IN THE BATTLES OF PRINCETON AND TRENTON. IN 1777 HE SERVED AGAINST BURGOYNE AND WAS IN BOTH BATTLES OF BEMIS HEIGHTS, AND WAS AT SARATOGA WHEN BURGOYNE SURRENDERED.
